Pelvic Organ Prolapse Surgery

This is a study on 27991 patients who underwent pelvic organ prolapse surgery with and witout a surgical mesh.The outcomes were published in the BMJ. It appears that the mesh procedures were associated with an increased risk of reinterventions within one year and urinary retention after surgery.
